Before registering, please note: NTBC is exclusively for students from UK state schools and colleges only.

Registration for each session closes at 12pm the day before the live event.

We will use the information you provide to send you your unique log-in details and other supporting content such as dates for sessions.

We are collecting some sensitive information from you to ensure our services are inclusive. We will use the information you provide to help us report on our programmes and research and marketing activity. We will not share your information with anyone else. You will require a parent or guardian to consent on your behalf and provide their details in case of an emergency - you will need them present at the time of completing this form due to the e-signature required of them.

You will only need to complete this form once and can remove yourself from the Google Classroom and mailing list at any time by emailing us at ntbc@speakersforschools.org.

Event Description

This Code of Practice refers to the conduct we expect from all participants who take part in the National Teen Book Club. By taking part in this programme, you agree:

1. I will behave in an appropriate manner:
i. My communications and interactions will be respectful and considerate at all times. This includes language I use when communicating with other young people on the programme in the Google Classroom. ii. I will ensure that everyone is included and feels comfortable in the group.
iii. I will participate in group activities, and if I am unable to use the microphone, I will use the chat function.
iv. I will not take photos or screenshots of the National Teen Book Club, other solo learners, SfS staff or guest speakers.
v. I will use my assigned temporary vwex login details to login to the National Teen Book Club programme, and I will not share any personal details with other students during my work experience.

vi. I will not spam the chat function.

2. If I choose to engage in discussion and activities set via the Google Classroom:
i. I will be sensible and respectful in anything I post or submit.
ii. I will follow instructions provided by the National Teen Book Club team.

3. I will report any concerns:
i. If there is anything that seems unusual or makes me feel uncomfortable during the National Teen Book Club programme, I will notify the Speakers for Schools team immediately on NTBC@speakersforschools.org.
