This Code of Practice refers to the conduct we expect from all participants who take part in the National Teen Book Club. By taking part in this programme, you agree:
1. I will behave in an appropriate manner: i. My communications and interactions will be respectful and considerate at all times. This includes language I use when communicating with other young people on the programme in the Google Classroom. ii. I will ensure that everyone is included and feels comfortable in the group. iii. I will participate in group activities, and if I am unable to use the microphone, I will use the chat function. iv. I will not take photos or screenshots of the National Teen Book Club, other solo learners, SfS staff or guest speakers. v. I will use my assigned temporary vwex login details to login to the National Teen Book Club programme, and I will not share any personal details with other students during my work experience.
vi. I will not spam the chat function. 2. If I choose to engage in discussion and activities set via the Google Classroom:i. I will be sensible and respectful in anything I post or submit.ii. I will follow instructions provided by the National Teen Book Club team.
3. I will report any concerns: i. If there is anything that seems unusual or makes me feel uncomfortable during the National Teen Book Club programme, I will notify the Speakers for Schools team immediately on NTBC@speakersforschools.org.
